Charming decor and excellent breakfast!
I really enjoyed my stay, especially the charming decor with cozy log fires and comfortable seating that created a delightful atmosphere. The breakfast was fantastic, with freshly prepared dishes made from local ingredients. I found the bathroom lighting in our room to be a bit dim for my liking.

The bar area offers a solid selection of drinks and has a relaxed vibe for unwinding after a long day. Free parking is available on-site, providing peace of mind, especially in a busy town center.
The bed in the King Room was less than comfortable. both the mattress and pillows felt lumpy, which turned sleep into a bit of a struggle. In the King Suite, the layout is odd, with a bath right as you enter. it’s not exactly ideal for families. Breakfast had a few hiccups. extra teas and coffees were charged individually, leaving a slightly sour taste when settling the bill at the end of the stay.

the angel inn is a lovely place to stay with a great outdoor bar and eating area. we loved the location right on the high street, super convenient for everything! the king suite was really comfy and well stocked with tea and coffee. breakfast was amazin, with fresh and local produce! staff were friendly and really helpful during our stay.
my only complaint is the noise from the high street was pretty annoying and the bath could use some better lighting.

Had a comfortable two-night stay in a well-equipped room. The staff were always helpful, especially when we were in need of a taxi to attend a nearby funeral. The breakfast, although slightly slow, had decent options to start the day. While the hotel is charming, the dining pricing structure left something to be desired, making meal options feel overpriced.

Good vibes, but slow service
We had a cozy stay for 2 nights. Room was warm and clean, but kinda dated. Staff were super friendly and quick to help. The food was tasty, especially in the bar area. Only bummer was the bath didn’t get hot enough at first, but they sorted it out. Pro tip, parking’s a bit tight in the back!

Cozy spot with great vibes
Had a nice stay here! The room was super clean and comfy. Breakfast had loads of options, and I really loved the local cider they serve. One bummer was the lunch service, took ages for menus and felt a bit ignored. Still, the atmosphere was lovely and I enjoyed my time overall.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Sunday roast, made with grass-fed beef from the inn’s own farm, and the lovely garden area where I could unwind. The cozy TV room and the sun terrace were perfect for relaxing after a long day. The only downside was a bit of noise from the bar area, but it didn’t ruin my stay at all. 😊
